PROJECTS

4. Entropy
BFA and MFA
Design and Technology
Class of 2023

The website showcases the end-of-year events for the BFA and MFA degrees in Design and Technology, along with the students and their respective projects.

To improve the site’s UX and UI, the committee was divided into smaller teams, each focusing on specific pages. I worked on the Landing and Home Pages, as well as the desktop and mobile menu designs. We incorporated interactive elements, like the animated “Entropy” letters and neon green accents. I also proposed how to adapt the menu layout for smartphones and tablets based on the desktop version.

First Version

The staggered “stair-step” arrangement created a visual imbalance and made the page feel disorganized. It didn’t align with the cleaner, grid-based structure used across the rest of the site, which led to student feedback asking for a more cohesive and unified layout.

Final Version

In response to that feedback, we redesigned the People page using a consistent grid system that aligned with the visual language of the rest of the site. We removed the stair-step effect, balanced the spacing between elements, and organized the content in a clearer and more cohesive way across screen sizes. The goal was to bring visual harmony and improve scannability without losing the page’s energy.
