Lushi
Lushi is a modern fertility and tech platform offering a patient-first approach.

Lushi is a modern fertility and tech startup focused on a patient-first approach to healthcare. While their app provided valuable features and information, the design presented challenges: an overload of information and a lack of clarity. These issues made the app harder to navigate and less intuitive for users.
The goal was to simplify the app, reducing clutter while retaining all critical functionalities. The redesign had to enhance usability, align with Lushi’s patient-focused values, and maintain consistency with their established brand and color palette.

I began by collaborating with my project manager to conduct additional research on similar apps in the healthcare and fertility space. My project manager had already carried out some research, and together we analyzed how other apps effectively balanced detailed content with intuitive design. This collaboration informed my strategy for streamlining Lushi’s interface and user flows.
Throughout the redesign, we focused on several key areas, including the sign-up and sign-in flow, chat flow, user profile management, home screen, fertility journey screens, and settings functions. We also improved the process for uploading documents or pictures within the chat and app, ensuring users could easily manage their content. The overall design aimed to create a smoother user experience while retaining all of Lushi’s critical functionalities.
In addition to refining the design, we introduced several key features to enhance user experience. One notable innovation was the Lushi AI, an AI-powered chat feature designed to assist users in managing appointments, including booking, editing, and asking questions.

Furthermore, I designed a set of widgets to simplify the appointment process and provide important details, such as location and relevant information, all in a summarized format. These widgets featured icons to represent different appointment types, which were chosen from the previous design for consistency with Lushi’s established brand. Additionally, I designed widgets that enabled users to track milestones in their fertility journey, allowing them to visually check off progress as they move forward.
Throughout the redesign process, I ensured that the color palette and brand guidelines were consistently applied to create a cohesive and visually appealing experience. Regular meetings with the Lushi team helped clarify their vision, while my project lead provided strategic insights that guided the redesign. Together, we prioritized essential features and refined the design to focus on simplicity and user-friendliness.

The final design features a clean and intuitive interface, making it easier for users to navigate and engage with the platform. By addressing the concerns of information overload and enhancing the overall aesthetic, the redesigned app better reflects Lushi’s patient-first mission. The introduction of Lushi AI further streamlined appointment management, while the new widgets provided users with an accessible way to track their fertility journey and manage appointments more efficiently.
